day 331 :: the definition of “knowing” someone
Today has started off with a sunny bang. After a great night last night with my friends, a lovely email that I woke up to, and a beautiful run, I am filled with happiness and gratitude today.
Which brings me to a dilemma I’m facing…typically I try not to engage negativity at all, but if someone says some nasty, inappropriate, off-base things to you, how do you best respond? My instinct is no response at all, but that can be tough.
Just like not calling a guy when you know you shouldn’t (even if he calls you), not engaging a negative person, even when they are spouting out incorrect and assonine things that would be so easy for you to rebuff, is the way to go, I think.
I often wonder what it is that makes people feel like through a blog they really know another person. I just don’t see that as possible. I would like to think that we are ALL way more complex, as people than as bloggers.
So why is it that people feel like they can “hate” someone because of who they are as a blogger? Shouldn’t they just not read their blog?
