day 340 :: errands and more errands
Yawn. I am groggy today. I need to go for a run. Last night I was hoping to stay home and relax but then my friend Justin came back into town from Georgetown (where he is getting his MBA, did I mention this already? See I’m so out of it, I can’t even remember what I wrote).
So anyways, we ended up out in the West Village—-Extra Virgin (who knew they had such great mojitos, good scene there), Beatrice Inn, Waverly Inn, submercer.
Luckily I avoided Tenjune, where I was originally headed, which is fabulous. I was not in the mood for that scene at all.
At Waverly I ran into Marc J, who was out with some friends including Rachel Zoe. Homegirl has some bad skin but was impeccably dressed. Her look was stunning. I can see why people pay her to be their stylist. It was nice to see MJ. I have been to a few of his parties and he is a really gracious, kind person. He always remembers the peons like me when I’m sure he meets 1000s of people a day. I like people like that: a combination of confident and kind.
All in all, I’m glad I went out last night. It was great to catch up with friends.
I am going to spend my afternoon as productively as possible.
On my list:
- Clean up my room
- Pull out my summer clothes and hide away my winter clothes
- Look for jobby jobs
- Go for a run
- Give my pooch a bath
- Catching up on my episodes of The Tudors
- Dust (I HATE dusting)
- See Lee one more time before he takes his 6 month journey abroad
